I just made a fantastic dinner tonight and I am already looking forward to having the leftovers tomorrow for lunch! I made gnocchi with a homemade spicy Italian turkey tomato sauce – now that’s a mouthful to say, a very delicious one!
To make the yummy sauce start with a hot pan and saute some onions, garlic, fennel seed, oregano, hot pepper flakes, basil, salt, and pepper. When you start to smell the garlic and the onions are clear put in the ground turkey. Cook together until the turkey is cooked through and then add a can of crushed tomatoes with juice, a big scoop of pesto, and a tbsp of sugar. Simmer everything together for a good 15 mins or so and go ahead and cook the gnocchi. All in all this meal will probably take you all of 30 mins to make – enjoy!!
