Another successful Toronto Taste has come and gone, leaving me with fond memories of cold crisp white wines, cured salmon, duck nuggets, refreshing local brews, Italian Breakfast and smoked bear. These are just a few of the many creative dishes and goodies that over 1,500 of us tasters were able to enjoy on such a gorgeous Sunday evening.
Toronto Taste is Second Harvest’s biggest annual fundraiser and Toronto’s most talked about culinary event of the year. It all went down this past Sunday June 9th at the Royal Ontario Museum. Second Harvest is the main provider of fresh food in support of hungry relief in the city, with over 7.2 millions pounds delivers in the last 12 months. Ticket revenue from Toronto Taste goes to keeping hungry mouths fed all year long in Toronto.
I tried to take as many pics as I could between eating, drinking and schmoozing with the hottest chefs and food lovers a like. This is one event not to be missed, you get to try unique dishes from almost every restaurant in the city that is on your ‘must try next’ food list and all for a good cause.
