The Mother of all Indian Food

If you want to taste some of the most amazing, mouth watering, unique flavours that Indian food has to offer you need to take a trip to Queen West where you will find Mother India, a little Indian restaurant serving up fantastic east Indian cuisine and very pleasant service. The restaurant it self is very plain and simple with a few uneven tables and miss matched chairs, but who cares the food is awesome! The best part about Mother India is that they serve each of their yummy dishes wrapped up in a roti or on a bed of rice.  My favorite by far is having the roti and tackling the huge crepe like wrap filled with spinach and paneer with my fork and knife.

There is something addictive about these rotis, you take your first bite, then your second, then your sixteenth and you just cant stop. The taste leaves you wanting more and more, even right now as I am writing this my mouth is watering and it`s making me so happy that something this good actually exsists in Toronto. If you like spicy then ask for it medium – cause it is actually very hot, spicy, and yummy!! Make sure you order the Saag Paneer and the Butter Chicken Roti – these rotis will blow your mind!   Have a look for yourself!

I ate here today and had a fantastic experience! The portions were plenty to share between two hungry people. In fact I cannot imagine getting through more than half on my own…

We got the chicken roti, medium spice. While it was really hot temperature-wise, it was just enough heat spice-wise. The sauce itself was very good and I was happy that it wasn’t overpowered by onions!

For $10 I will definitely go back again…
