Last week I was super lucky to be invited to check out the launch of Joey. A new stylish and hip restaurant located in the Eaton Centre at Yonge and Dundas. It was packed when we arrived, I took a glance around and immediately loved the decor. It was very rustic chic with lots of wood, large windows and open space.
The first thing I saw as I walked in besides my friends were the gorgeous women walking around with trays filled with a variety of different cocktails, wine, and beer. I picked up the St Germain cocktail – I was excited to see this because I fell in love with St Germain Liquor while on my food adventure through College Street a few months ago.
As the night continued we were spoiled with yummy food and drinks. We were able to enjoy food stations with Joey chefs serving up house-made sushi and curries. There were also more gorgeous women walking around with trays of goodies from the menu. I had a fantastic time eating, drinking and socializing – I was actually really full by the end of it.
Joey at The Toronto Eaton Centre is now open as of today Monday July 4 – here are some more of the delicious items I had that you will have to try!
If you know me you know that I have a huge love for Charcuterie – this spread was awesome! It was full of organic smoked and cured meats, a selection of cheeses and all the good stuff that comes with it.. olives, crusty bread and chutneys.
We snacked on Lobster Grilled Cheese and Tandoori Chicken Flat-bread
I got to make my own sushi cone ! Haha look at me.. apron on and everything – it was super yummy with a tempura prawn inside. I might have put too much wasabi in it though, oh well – it was my first ever sushi creation – the chef looks so proud of me! lol
We got to sample some Sake and then there was the most delicious item I had all night – little Pumpkin Spice Donuts with a Dulce Leche Caramel Sauce. Divine! I think I had about 3 or 4 of these.. yikes!
Go check out Joey and enjoy some yummy food and drink in the heart of the city xx
